EATING DISORDERS PSYCHOLOGIST POSITIONS (PhD/PsyD):
NW EATING DISORDERS & BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE (www.nwedbmed.com) seeks two Massachusetts licensed Psychologists for part-time positions (20 hours per week) in our well established outpatient group practice.
Our dynamic multidisciplinary clinical team provides carefully coordinated treatment for eating disordered individuals, chronic pain/chronic illness, CBT for anxiety & affective disorders and behavioral medicine. Massachusetts licensure required and supervised training in eating disorders treatment, Cognitive Therapy, DBT, CBT, IPT or Behavioral Medicine preferred. Supervision provided to develop new clinical skills. Our offices are located in Brookline & Newton, MA, providing access to college students and community residents over a wide range of the metro-Boston region. Positions available Winter 2008-2009. About Newton-Wellesley Eating Disorders & Behavioral Medicine
Our fifteen member multidisciplinary clinical team, including Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Psychiatrists and a Registered Dietician, specializes in carefully coordinated treatment for individuals suffering from eating disorders, chronic pain/chronic medical conditions as well as behavioral medicine and CBT for anxiety & affective disorders.
Staff members specialize in a wide range of clinical and theoretical orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Family Systems Treatment and Relational approaches. We strive to remain open to multiple clinical perspectives and treatment modalities, with emphasis on adapting empirically validated treatments, when available. Our goal is to maintain an open, supportive clinical dialog among staff and with our patients, in order to engage with and develop the most effective treatment plans for our diverse patient populations. We offer individual and family consultation, individual psychotherapy, couples & family treatment, psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacologic treatment (to individuals in psychotherapy in our practice), nutritional counseling and intensive case coordination to individuals 18 years of age and older.
